The Château kefraya red is an impressive blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Cinsault, Syrah and Carmenere. It raises a deep cherry colored, clear and brilliant, with purple reflections. The nose is rich with beautiful complexity and a refined density. The first bouquet is intense and complex. It reveals fine and subtle woody notes of fresh red fruits, cherry, ripe strawberries and menthol combining notes of sandalwood along with sweet spice as well as leather and cigar box. The second bouquet offers more pronounced notes of violet, which evolve with aeration towards empyreumatic notes punctuated by liquorice and coffee. On the palate the wine showcases a robust and multi-layered flavor profile with an exceptional balance and length. The tannins are particularly silky with beautiful volume in the mid-palate describing the finesse of the Cabernet Franc contribution. The wood component is well integrated into the overall wine structure. The aromatic persistence is long with a complex aromatic profile highlighting the predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon on the front palate followed by the spicy syrah which gives way to the Cinsault and the floral aromas of Carmenère in the finish.
